As a general rule, we recommend cleaning your collar and leash regularly to ensure they remain hygienic and clean while guaranteeing a long lifespan.

The CANINE ELEMENTS collar

BioThane® & Neoprene:

... are basically water- and dirt-repellent and very easy to clean. For light soiling, it is sufficient to wipe the collar with a damp cloth. Stubborn dirt can be easily cleaned with lukewarm water and curd soap. Then please let the collar dry completely.

The buckle:

...consists of aluminum and stainless steel. We would like to point out that, even if these materials do not rust or discolour under optimal conditions, contact with salt water and other mechanical influences such as sand and dirt can reduce the life of the buckle. We therefore recommend opening the buckle and rinsing it under running water after every bathing, extensive romping, etc. and then drying it carefully.

... is particularly suitable because it is super easy to clean, water-resistant and also doesn't stink. If it is slightly dirty, it is sufficient to simply wipe the leash with a damp cloth. Stubborn dirt can be easily cleaned with lukewarm water and curd soap.

The carabiners & fittings

... are corrosion resistant. Nevertheless, contact with salt water and other mechanical influences such as sand and dirt can affect the service life of carabiners, binding screws and rings. Therefore, after bathing in the sea, please rinse the leash under running water.

Please note that discoloration of the materials can occur over time and this represents normal signs of wear. Proper and regular care can extend the life and enjoyment of your products.
